When you're a little old lady, a grandmother, and mother, on a fixed income, using government services like many in this country, you make due with what you have & sometimes suffer unexpected, unnecessary pain distress, disease & despair. We are dealing with a health system and disease process not well understood, by even the doctors at the forefront. Hopefully we make it to a ripe old age too, and if we so happen to find ourselves in the same situation one day, someone will pay it forward and pull us out of the depths of despair. These moments are always cherished, the best humanity has to offer.

This is why we need your help. Knowing the best is out there, with an inability to pay for it, is a plight I wish no one has to bear! Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment is the only treatment that has demonstrated such significantly positive and promising findings across thousands of patients and participants. Rose has already been evaluated by a medical doctor in Ft. Lauderdale for it's safety and effectiveness. It felt like being the first in line for an iphone, I can say that for both me and my grandmother, Rose. It was exclusive, it was advanced, and it was expensive. Medicare in the United States does not pay for an evidence based treatment for Traumatic Brain Injury, Hyperbaric Oxygen Treatment, although clinical trials for the optimal treatment parameters in TBI are underway such as in the HOBIT trial, which will help FDA approval.

This treatment is very expensive and costs approximately 5-10 thousand dollars for 20-40 sessions in medical grade chamber, or 1-5 thousand in a so called 'Soft Chamber'. Studies by Shai Efrati, MD, has demonstrated it wrks to rebuild damage to the parts of brain cells that help one neuron communicate and send signals to another neuron, while creating more blood cells, blood vessels, and neurons, and stem cells, improving cognitive function, reducing the chance of long term disability, and brain injury symptoms. This helps to prevent neurodegenerative symptoms later in life, like Alzheimers, and Parkinsons, which are linked to earlier TBI, even mild, especially, when there's multiple falls resulting in brain damage.

The solution to the problem is to raise money so that Rose, has the best chance of staving off longterm disability or brain disease, while improving Quality of Life and improving Activities of Daily Living, as has already been shown in the research with Alzheimers patients.

The barrier to better outcomes are numerous and involve better more comprehensive evaluation and accurate diagnosing. Specifically, emergency rooms and even neurologist do not typically run the types of Advanced MRI imagining required to find the small changes and damage that result from TBI, and often times send the patients home with Physical Therapy or another kind, without addressing the underlying brain damage and secondary processes that lead up to them, such as the inflammation of the brain, or disruption of blood brain barrier. What's needed is to completely heal the brain, the microscopic, and often permanent damage, and loss of brain cells and supporter cells over time. HBOT has been evidenced as doing that and more research is always underway to provide the base of research evidence required for FDA approval, major awareness campaigns, and then coverage under insurance company's. In short, the damage is undetected, and does not result in major problems, neurodegenerative disease, Parkinsons, Parkinsonism, and walking or mobility challenges.
