What’s wrong with me?
In March 2023 I was diagnosed with advanced ovarian cancer. A cancer with the worst prognosis of all gynaecological cancers, ovarian cancer causes more deaths than all gynaecological cancers combined.
With only four days from diagnosis to surgery, there was not much time to process this. As a 40-year old mum of a very active 5 year old, I just had to do whatever I could to live. The surgery went well, and a tumour the size of a melon and one the size of a lemon were removed, together with one ovary and fallopian tube.
Three weeks later, the pathology results were in – High Grade Epithelial Ovarian Adenocarcinoma stage IIIB. A cancer that usually affects women in their late 60’s and 70’s was paying me a visit. Thankfully, a CT scan done after the surgery showed no signs of cancer and the surgeon had seen no other areas of concern during the surgery. The scan did however show problems with my liver, lymph system and lungs. Now began a quest to find the best way to deal with these problems, and to boost my immune system so that it could stop a potential reoccurrence.
My husband and I researched, researched and researched. We spoke with several doctors who each gave their recommendations. We read what seemed like millions of books and did our best to understand various published studies pertaining to the cancer. I juiced for 6 months a la Gerson (to flood my body with much needed nutrients), eliminated dairy products from my diet (as the cancer was oestrogen dependant), eliminated sugar, white flour and processed foods (to reduce inflammation and help return my blood’s ph to an alkaline state), took Vitamin supplements and drank copious amounts of Essiac tea. Former patients referred me to a Sanazon clinic, where my first live blood analysis revealed vast amounts of pre-cancerous cells in my abdomen and pelvis, a very toxic liver, as well as viral and bacterial infections throughout my body. After 10 treatments of Ozone therapy, Glutathione Infusions, several homeopathic preparations etc, the last blood analysis showed that the pre-cancerous cells were no longer there. A big thank you to all of my friends and family who donated the money for this treatment, without even knowing exactly what it was! Without you, I could not have done it.
I kept up my diet, worked on my stress levels, and continued
going for “top-up” treatments at the
Sanazon
clinic. My tumour markers and scans remained negative. A few
months after the surgery, I developed an incisional hernia, which
wasn’t confirmed by a doctor until 9 months later. By this time the
hernia had grown to about 40cm and needed to be surgically repaired.
As this would be a big performance, I decided to also have my other
ovary and womb removed, to both decrease the chances of cancer
returning and to relieve my endometriosis symptoms. Boy am I glad I
did! During the surgery, a malignant tumour on the other ovary was
found, as well as several cysts. Unlike the first two tumours, this
tumour had ruptured, which means that I likely have malignant cells
swimming around my body. So now I am faced with a dilemma on how to
deal with them.
What should I do?
After much thought, discussion with doctors and my family and lots of prayer, we have decided to add more natural cancer therapies to my treatment plan, such as stronger Ozone therapy, High-Dose Vitamin-C infusions, Mistletoe injections and Hyperthermia. There have been a myriad of scientific studies which attest to the effectiveness of these treatments and they are widely available in Germany where I live. I have also begun to use “off-label” drugs, a practice which is now very popular amongst integrative oncologists.
Of course, everyone asks me if I am “doing chemo”. There are many reasons why I don’t want to take chemo, which has a very low chance of putting me into remission for this particular cancer. However, I am not completely ruling it out. There is a test called Onconomics Plus RGCC which provides information about how effective specific anti-cancer drugs including chemotherapy, targeted therapies such as hormone blockers and PARP-inhibitors, and natural treatments are on the cancer cells in an individual patient. The results of these extensive tests will help me to know if chemotherapy will work for me or not, as well as what other targeted and natural therapies should be used in order to give me the highest chance of successfully curing the cancer.
How can you help?
Sadly, this test is not free. The test itself costs 2050€, not including the consultation fees and travel expenses. My health insurance covers a few sessions of Hyperthermia each year, as well as my regular blood tests for tumour markers and scans. It does not cover Ozone therapy, Vitamin-C infusions, and Mistletoe therapy or off-label medications. It does not cover travel expenses to the various clinics where I can receive these therapies, under the care of a medical doctor.
My husband is the sole earner in our family. His wages provide us with what we need to live, but do not cover the medical expenses. That is where you can help us. We estimate that the RGCC test and natural therapies will cost 5000€ for the year 2024. The RGCC test will also answer the big question of does it make sense for me to try chemotherapy? The answer to that question will hopefully help the toll that this weighty decision takes on the psyche. That’s priceless!
Can you please make a donation? Can you please share this request with your family members, friends or colleagues? My family and I are so grateful for any way in which you can help us. I will be posting regular updates on this page, so that you can see how the treatment is progressing. Thank you so much!
Much love, Helen xx
