We are anticipating large medical expenses as this form of leukemia has to be treated urgently and aggressively so we are raising money to help support his care and treatment as we travel through this valley. We know God does all things for good so we also ask for your prayers!

Speaking of good, we also want to share the recent engagement of Brennan and Amerida. To say God works in mysterious ways is an understatement.

On top of battling the illness, we also are experiencing first hand how broken our health care programs and systems are. We are still continuing to research/apply for other options but we keep hitting roadblocks or told he is not eligible.

Brennan has already incurred several overnight hospital stays, 3 blood transfusions, and 2 bone marrow biopsy’s. None of this includes the cost of the actual treatment which is chemotherapy. 

We spent almost a week in the dark, numerous hours on the phones, trying to get back in touch with the original hematologist that gave us the news to no avail.

Finally our PCP put us in touch with another hematologist who personally called Brennan and genuinely showed concern and helped set some expectations and an action plan. This doctor and his nurse were definitely sent from God.

We’ve been at the hospital since Sunday, 8/21 and the staff and team have been prepping him for his first round of therapy. 

We have an amazing support group and awesome community that has already helped us through these last few weeks, just being with us, praying with and for us, and helping keep our spirits high and our eyes on God.

Chemo starts today (8/25) so please continue to keep him and the doctors in your prayers.
