Support for a Single Mother's Battle Against Stage 4 Cancer
Hello, my name is Ashley, and I'm a single mother to two beautiful
children, Tanner and Madison. In June 2023, I was diagnosed with stage
4 Metastatic Cervical Cancer after experiencing excessive bleeding,
which led to a 7-day hospital stay in critical care. The diagnosis was
confirmed through a biopsy, and further testing revealed a large mass
in my cervical area, which had spread to my lymph nodes and throughout
my body.
As a single mother, I've always put my children first. But now, I'm
facing a devastating reality.
My cancer diagnosis has left me severely disabled, and I'm
struggling to make ends meet. Despite receiving $1,000 monthly
disability benefits, my rent alone is $2,000, leaving me with barely
enough for groceries, let alone other essential expenses.
I underwent intense chemotherapy, including immunotherapy, which
took a devastating toll on my physical and mental health. Despite the
treatments, my cancer progressed, and I was told I have approximately
8 months left to live. I made the difficult decision to end
chemotherapy to prioritize quality time with my children.
As a single mother, I'm struggling to make ends meet, with no
vehicle, job, or stability. I'm facing imminent bills, including my
electric bill due in 6 days and rent on the first of the month. I've
reached out to organizations for assistance, but the waitlists are
long or funding has already been allocated.
I'm fighting to ensure my children's well-being and security, and
I'm grateful for any help the Universe and God can provide through
your support and generosity. Your kindness will help me navigate this
difficult time and create a brighter future for my children. Thank you
