On Monday, September 9th, Kimo woke up to excruciating pain in his chest and back.
Kellie, his wife, brought him to their local hospital. From there, it was determined that he needed to be transported to Essentia in Duluth, MN.
At Essentia, they discovered that he was in a very serious health crisis. He had what is called an Aortic Aneurysm. He would need to be transported via life flight to the University Hospital in Minneapolis, MN. His wife, children and family were all in disbelief and extremely concerned and fearful for his wellbeing.
Kimo made it to the University Hospital. The medical team repaired the life-threatening dissection (type A). After two weeks, Kimo has returned home where he will begin his rehabilitation. He is facing a long recovery.
Kellie and Kimo are loving, family oriented, hardworking people. They are so very grateful for the many prayers and love surrounding them.
If you can provide financial help for them during this difficult time, it would be so incredibly helpful. Kimo faces a long journey for recovery and will not be able to work for quite some time.

Kimo Fonoti is Colleen and Ron Semerau's son in law, married to Kellie (Semerau) Fonoti. Ron passed away in 2017. Ron and Colleen raised Kellie and their son Aaron in Esko, MN. Kimo and Kellie are raising their family in Cloquet, MN.
