On Wednesday February 10,2021 my beautiful mothers life took a turn
and she was unexpectedly diagnosed with two brain tumours.
Wednesday morning Holli fainted and hit her head - when she woke
she didn’t know who she was or where she was and she didn’t really
recognize my dad (Philip). Dad then rushed mom to Oceanside health in
Parksville where they assessed her for a concussion. They had some
concerns and sent her to Nanaimo General Hospital for further testing.
While at Nanaimo General she had many CT scans an MRI as well as
many other tests.
Test results showed Holli has two brain
tumours, they also realized she had not fainted but she had
suffered a seizure due to the tumour.
Holli has been sent to Victoria hospital where she will be facing a brain biopsy/surgery, and we pray for a great outcome.
Anyone who knows Holli loves Holli.
She is the most caring,
kind, compassionate and beautiful soul I have ever known- and I may be
biased as her daughter but it’s also very true!
Holli loves her
family, friends and her clients to no end.and even while waiting
at the hospital for her tests she says” I have to reschedule all my
clients for when I’m out of the hospital- they all need beautiful
nails! “
Holli takes care of everyone and now it’s our turn to take care of
her, ease her stress and help her with her road to recovery.
Those touched by cancer know it doesn’t just take an emotional
and physical toll but also a financial toll. Th
is is a chance for anyone who wants to help Holli or is just
touched by this story of how fast life can change by opening your
hearts and generosity.
Hollis positive attitude is admirable, she is strong and with
some help we know she will conquer this!
