1. How are the funds handled?

All contributions are made directly to CP Medical and attributed to the beneficiary's existing bill.

2. What happens if a goal isn't hit?

The aim of these campaigns is to assist in paying off existing medical bills. Every little bit helps to bring down the cost of treatment and donations are attributed to a beneficiary's bill immediately - we do not wait for the goal to be reached. 

3. Can I run my own campaign?

If you are a member of our clinic and are interested in setting up your own campaign, you can register using the "Register" button on the campaign. Have your Patient I.D. handy! Campaigns are screened and approved before they are allowed to launch. For more information please email us at crowdfunding@cpmedical.com

4. Will I get a receipt?

A confirmation email will be sent to you by CoCoPay for your contribution. As CP Medical is not a registered 501c(3) non-profit, official tax receipts are not provided. 

5. Who markets these campaigns?

These crowdfunding campaigns are geared for each campaign beneficiary to advocate their own communities through online media.  Neither CP Medical nor CoCoPay market or promote these campaigns in any way. 

From Confined-to-Bed to Cancer-Free

Meet Dev

When cancer hits - it's never convenient. For Dev and his family, it could not have come at a worse time. 

Young twins at home. Recent job loss after COVID-19 ravaged the world. Dev would often be confined to his bed while his wife, Neena, worked full time and managed their children's schedule. Not only were they constrained under one income, they had lost Dev's comprehensive health insurance and much of his treatment was not covered. In a time when finances should have been the last thing this family worried about, their debt grew into a heavy, dark cloud that hung over their lives. 

Dev's team at CP Medical connected him to this platform to help offset some of his treatment costs. Within an hour Dev had his campaign up and running! He shared with his friends and family and received an outpouring of help from not only his own community - but from his community's communities!  Those friends and families rallied behind Dev and pushed his story out to their own networks. 

Contributions zeroed out Dev's cancer treatment bill. Relief from that stress gave him room to breathe and focus on getting well. However, that's not the only amazing thing to take away from this story.

Dev also received hundreds of messages from around the world in support of his battle. As Dev put it: "There is a certain power in positive energy. When I read those messages, suddenly the chemo side-effects weren't so bad anymore."

Dev's cancer entered remission in mid-2021. He's up and playing with his boys, helping his wife around the house, and back to work full time. Plus, he's paying it forward by volunteering to drive patients to the clinic for treatment, who cannot get there on their own.
